On September 6th, 2008 the Jabiru left Crooked Tree for a day trip in the city to enjoy the carnival but most imortanly to send a message to Belizeans about its home:
[ October 6, 2008; 8:30 am; ] The Jabiru mascot, flagship spieces of the wetlands campaign, will be named on October 6th by the children of Crooked Tree Government School. Stay tune to find out what name they choose for the Jabiru! Also look out for the sologan selectedfor the wetlands campaign.
